About Camp Burnell Special Needs Activity Center, Inc.
Camp Burnell was founded in August 2011 by Diana Johnson.  After getting discouraged to find summer and before & after school care for her 12 year old son, who is developmentally delayed and mildly Autistic, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Most facilities in the area did not have personnel trained to work with special needs children. In today’s society, 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with Autism. The need is growing for care of special needs children of all disabilities.

Camp Burnell Special Needs Activity Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and located in Warner Robins, GA. Our services come with a personal touch to ensure each child is showered with love in every activity. Camp Burnell offers summer day camp experiences to promote development of social, communication and recreational skills in an inclusive setting with typical peers.
